Membership
Anyone who is over 50 or is referred by their GP is eligible to join. The only requirement is
that they can swim 50 metres. Most new members are beginners, although some come to Camrowers
to refresh or relearn their rowing skills. We welcome people with disabilities and will always
work with you to find ways for you to enjoy rowing.
How to join
You can apply to join via Forever Active, the organisation that provides exercise for the
over 50s in Cambridgeshire; or via the University of the Third Age in Cambridge (U3AC); or by
being referred by their doctor; or contact us direct.

Cost
The first session is free so that people can be sure they wish to continue.
Thereafter the cost of the six initial coaching lessons is £30. This includes the
capsize drill session at Chesterton Community College Sports Centre.
Once coaching has been completed, club fees are £148 per year made up of £60 membership
fee and £88 rowing fee.(Fees can be paid quarterly).
Subject to HMRC guidelines Camrowers can claim Gift Aid on membership fees and this makes an important
contribution to club finances at no additional cost to members. Please ask about Gift Aid when you
join.
